I didn’t originally set out to compare these two serums, but then I observed how similar their bottles are:
Recht? I’ve been using the Estee Lauder advanced night repair Synchronized recovery complex II at nights and the Holika Holika One option Anti-Wrinkle for days – let’s see how these two do and compare.
Estée Lauder advanced night repair Synchronized recovery complex II
This product has a cult following. I’m always game to try something popular to see if it lives up to the hype. I’ve been itching to try this and I finally redeemed points for it in January. I’ve been using this for about 2 months.
This has a faint dusty medicinal smell that’s like a mixture of crushed up headache tablets and damp sawdust. It has no added fragrance so the smell is a combination of its ingredients.
The serum has a slightly gooey texture that dries to a slightly tacky finish on the skin. It spreads well and absorbs into the skin quickly. I use this after I’ve cleansed and toned my skin, and before my moisturizer. The aforementioned scent does not linger.
This serum claims to help minimize fine lines, improve hydration and a lot more even toned skin. Let’s see what’s in this thing:

Water, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Methyl Gluceth-20, PEG-75, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Cola Acuminata (Kola) Seed Extract, Hydrolyzed Algin, Pantethine, Caffeine, Lecithin, Tripeptide-32, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Rna, Bisabolol, Glycereth-26, Squalane, Sodium Hyaluronate, Oleth-3 Phosphate, Caprylyl Glycol, Lactobacillus Ferment, Oleth-3, Oleth-5, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile), Yeast Extract, Choleth-24, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ceteth-24, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Hexylene Glycol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Trisodium EDTA, BHT, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Red 4 (CI 14700), Yellow 5 (CI 19140).
The 2nd ingredient, after water, “Bifida Ferment Lysate” is a type of probiotic, which is the first I’ve heard of probiotics in skincare. we all know about probiotics in yogurt and supplements which are “good” bacteria and yeast that help with the digestive tract. It seems that when used in skincare, probiotics act as an antioxidant. based on what I’ve read online, the science is still not firm on how probiotics applied topically helps the skin.
EDIT!: fellow blogger Victoria highlighted an ingredient to me: Triethanolamine (the 8th ingredient from the bottom). This stuff is harmful to the skin (causing irritation) and must not be included in skincare that’s indicated to remain on the skin like moisturizer or oh a SERUM!? I’m dropping the rating down due to this! Please check out Victoria’s informative post on this subject. Thank you Victoria for pointing this out to me!
I need to admit that I didn’t see obvious difference using this nightly for at least a month. but I persevered. I know that people observed significant improvements with this serum but I found the results to be subtle for me.
The a lot of obvious improvement I saw was a lot more brilliance on my skin but I did not find that it helped much in hydration even though it consists of squalane and hyaluronic acid. I did not see reduction in fine lines (I was focusing on my laugh lines).
I always love how high-end skincare include a enormous sheet of information in multiple languages. I can never fold these sheets back into the original form.
The serum retails for $80 for a 30ml bottle. larger sizes at 50ml ($118) and 115ml ($225) are also available.
Pros:
• consists of good ingredients
• Skin looked a lot more radiant
• Did not break me out
• Dropper dispenser easy to use
• No added fragrance
Cons:
• Teuer
• Didn’t yield significant results
• consists of Triethanolamine, a harmful ingredient
Stash worthiness: 4/10
Bottom line: Your results will vary! I was intending to join the legions of people who love this serum. Avoid this serum due to the harmful ingredient. There are much better serums on the market that are less expensive as well!
Holika Holika One option Anti-Wrinkle Ampoule
The holographic packaging drew me in!
I’ve been using the Holika Holikda serum for less amount of time compared to the Estee Lauder considering that I ran out of my night serum earlier – I’ve been using this for about a month.
I stumbled upon this serum at Winners last year for $17 and liked how it looked (I guess subconsciously it reminded me of the Estee Lauder? even though it didn’t click until I put the 2 bottles side by side).
As mentioned, I use this in the mornings as my daytimeSerum. Dieses Produkt fühlt sich ziemlich glatt an und hinterlässt eine leicht ölige Oberfläche auf der Haut. Es ist parfümiert und riecht aus schwachem Blumengerüsch, der nicht zu anstößig ist.
Es trägt gut unter Make-up und hilft, meine Haut während des Tages glühend und plump auszusehen.
Es ist interessant zu beachten, dass der erste Bestandteil kein Wasser ist.

Gentiana Scabra-Wurzel-Extrakt ist ein bitteres Kraut, wenn er aufgenommen wurde, hilft bei einer Vielzahl von internen Organfunktionen von der Leber bis zur Niere bis zur Verdauung. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass es sich auf die Hautkonditionierung und beruhigende Eigenschaften aufweist, wenn sie topisch angewendet werden.
Im Vergleich zum Estee Lauder fand ich die Auswirkungen davon sogar viel subtiler und vorübergehender. Es lieferte meistens mit Hydratation und schafft eine großartige Basis – aber es gab keine langen, dauerhaften Hautverbesserungen. Ich freute mich, dass es mich nicht dazu veranlasst hat, mit meiner anderen Hautpflege oder Fundament (wie Kugel oder getrennt) nicht auszubrechen oder zu reagieren. Ich würde sagen, dass dieses Serum wahrscheinlich besser für diejenigen mit trockener Hauttyp aufgrund der öliger Textur geeignet ist.
Pros:

• brach mich nicht aus
• Tropfspender einfach zu bedienen
• kostengünstig
Nachteile:
• Duft
• Keine offensichtlichen Verbesserungen
Stash würdig: 6/10
Fazit: Wieder können Ihre Ergebnisse variieren. Ich habe einfach keine Verbesserungen an meiner Haut gesehen.
Beachten Sie, dass Holika Holika dies mit Tweaks in der Formulierung umpacken hat (Wasser ist jetzt der erste Zutat, und es besteht nicht einmal aus Gentiana-Scabra-Wurzel-Extrakt). Die neue Verpackung sieht nicht mehr auf das Estee Lauder Serum an:
Der neue Name ist eine Option, die unglaublich Energise-Ampulle-Anti-Falten- und Einzelhandel für 28 US-Dollar ist.
Schneller Vergleich von Estee Lauder vs Holika Holika:
• Holika Holika-Flasche ist eigentlich Glas, während der Estee Lauder eine Kunststoffs ist! Im Vergleich zum Estee Lauder fühlt sich die Holika-Holika-Flasche viel luxuriöser.
Die Holika Holika One zeigt den Ablauf auf der Unterseite (Feb 2018) – Ich habe keinen Ablauf an der Estee Lauder gesehen, außer um 24 Monate von der Öffnung anzuzeigen.
• Holika Holika ist Runnier und fühlt sich viel öliger auf der Haut
• Estee Lauder absorbiert schneller in die Haut
• Estee Lauder ist dunkler gelbe Farbe im Vergleich zu Holika Holika
• Estee Lauder hat keinen zusätzlichen Duft (aber nicht nichtcented)
• Holika Holika ist besser für trockenere Hauttypen geeignet, während Estee Lauder für alle Hauttypen gut ist
• Estee Lauder ist in den USA hergestellt, und Holika Holika wird in Korea hergestellt
Jetzt habe ich keine Ahnung, ob Holika Holika versuchte, Estee Lauder zu kopieren, aber ich habe festgestellt, dass auf Estee Lauders Box und auf der Flasche gestempelt und auf der Flasche die Worte “US- und internationale Patente” sind. Sehen Sie sich sicher, dass die Zutaten zwischen den beiden nicht ähnlich sind – am meisten, sie bestehen beide aus Butylenglykol und Hyaluronsäure – das ist alles.
Diese beiden Serum waren einfach in Ordnung für mich, und weder ich würde zurückkaufen. Oft sind Hautpflege so, dass sich eine der beiden schrecklich schrecklich befindet, aber meine Haut hatte einfach keine Affinität zu ihnen. Hat sich das jemals mit der Hautpflege passiert?
